This school year marks the end of an era for three of our teachers at Chippewa Elementary School who are retiring.  Linda Spahn has been in the district for 22 years, Elaine Gladys for 39 years, and Debbie Bernauer for 36 years.  In honor of their recognition of many years of service to our school, our children and the high level of education they have contributed to in our school district, we are putting together memory books for each of the teachers.  We are asking both present students as well as past students of these teachers to write a message to these teachers that we can put in a 3 ring binder/book for them.  The parents are also encouraged and welcomed to provide a message as well.  We ask that you do it on paper no bigger than 8 ½ x 11.  Some possible suggestions/idea’s are to:

·         Write a special moment / memory you have of the teacher.
·         What did you learn from this teacher?
·         What funny thing happened during the school year or between the student and the teacher?
·         What will your child remember most about Mrs. X
·         Mrs. X taught me ______________.
·         Write a fictitious report card for the teacher (highlighting strengths or noticeable “improvements”).
·         Create a lesson plan for their retirement.
