This is a detailed list of what each Committee does in the PSO through out the year. Use this document as a reference when filling out your Membership Form and Volunteer Form
Committee Volunteer Descriptions
Beautification - Help decorate entranceway and hallways for various holidays throughout the year
BoxTops/Campbell’s Soup Labels - Classroom coordinator that cuts and compiles BoxTops and labels then forwards them to the BoxTops/Labels Coordinator
Cafeteria Aide - Daily from 11:30am-12:30pm.
Garden & Grounds - Help to maintain the Courtyards and Front Walkways
Health and Safety - Help with lice screenings the 1st day back to school, from Winter Break and Spring Break. Help with Vision/Hearing Screenings in October and Picture Days in September and April.
Hospitality - Help provide refreshments/bakery at monthly PSO meetings, New Family Orientation, Meet the Teachers, Open House, and Kindergarten Screening.
Market Day - Volunteer of a few hours at the Middle School during assigned months. Assist with unloading the truck, pulling and checking orders, and making phone calls.
Physical Fitness Department - Help Mrs. Bonezzi, Gym teachers, with physical fitness testing and Field Day.
Scrapbook/Publicity - Create a memory book for the school year, help take pictures/document Chippewa school events.
Book Fair in October - Help children pick out books, set up, take down
Holiday Shoppe in December - Help set up, assist children with purchases, wrap gifts, etc.
Family Bingo - Help set up event, registration, concessions, clean-up, etc.
Annual Fundraiser in February - Assist the 2nd VP to raise money for the school. May include making gift baskets, soliciting donation, classroom projects, selling raffle tickets, working day of the event, etc.
Mathopoly in March - Help run education math stations and games/activities.
Kindergarten Screening in April - Register and assist children through screening process. (9:15am-12:00pm or 1-3:30pm)
Earthweek/Science in April - Week long recognition of environmental concerns. Help with daily activities. Help the students become little scientists using experiments and activities at school.
Staff Appreciation in May - Help in office, monitor children during assembly, serve brunch, set up clean up, baking and cooking of meals.
Third Grade Recognition in June - Second grade parents serve refreshments. Third grade parents needed to coordinate events.
